Monkey Boy Rides!

CA Aerostich pop up weekend getaway

Had a great getaway this weekend! Road over to the Aerostich pop up event in Scotts Valley with my dad. It was a spectacular ride down there on HWY 9. He guided me through like a true pro. (first time on 9 past Skyline) When we got to the event site (Zero motorcycles HQ) we were greeted by incredibly nice volunteers that got me signed up and in line for the custom fitting. By the end of our 2 hr. visit I had all the information I needed to go order my Stich!! With that win under my belt we packed up and headed over to Big Basin Redwoods State Park, where I planned to spend the night to shake down some new gear. Got in after dark, and after a few missed turns (totally my fault!!) I was at my site and sent my dad off. After a quick set up, I went for a pre dinner walk-about. On my way back I had a hilarious interaction with my neighbors. ( medium group of young 20 somethings from an adventure dating service. thought I was crazy to camp off a motorcycle………)  The next morning I again went for a pre meal walk, because when you have the opportunity to hike you got to take it! Packed up the bike and road back home. In retrospect I wish I had spent both days there, but I got to go on a spontaneous trip to San Francisco to hear Pentatonix and Ecosmith perform that evening so I’m glad it worked out the way it did!
